Above are examples of completed projects to present some of my skills and possibilities of finishes on various scales.
I either was an important actor in their making, created the finish, managed the project while working freelance for specialist studios or they are authentic results of my personal endeavours.
All have been produced with care and passion by using materials conscientiously sourced to deliver high quality, long lasting finishes.

Introduction to the main techniques
Considering the versatility of the materials and their organic properties all the works and creations are unique. All the examples of finishes presented in these files can be adapted to any project and at any scale.
Eglomise :
From the French term "gilded glass"- referring to the ancient decorative technique in which the reverse side of the glass is gilded / Onto which thin leaves of gold, silver, copper and/or other chosen metal are gently applied with a flat brush on water, to obtain a protected mirror.
Handcrafted with care and love to the highest standard with the best quality materials sourced from the very best suppliers.
Each piece is bespoke due to the character of the materials handled and cannot be reproduced - giving each project a rare sense of exclusivity.
Combining abstract, geometric, figurative patterns ( inspired mostly by nature and its organism colliding with the contemporary world ) the surfaces created are adding modernism to somewhat traditional finishes and techniques.
The constantly reflecting subjects and/or mindful interiors, changing textures and reflecting lights make these pieces/surfaces enduring and invariably intriguing.
Venetian Plaster/Polished Plaster :
Venetian plaster is an ancient decorative technique in which fired limestone is combined with water to give a lime plaster, marbled like stone.
Once applied on surfaces, naturally exposed to the carbon dioxide in the air, the plaster turns back into limestone.
Polishing the limestone brings shine to the plaster and make the surface soft to touch and reflective.
From earthy tones to vibrant colours the possibilities are incalculable.
